Frequently Asked Questions

Answers to your most common questions.

Dye-sublimation is a heat-generated printing process that incorporates heat to transfer ink onto paper or fabric. The dye is transferred from a solid to a gas, directly onto the intended medium. The dyes used bond most effectively with polymers, so the higher the polyester content in the substrate, the better the dye will bond to the material. Dye-sub results in crisp, well-defined and brighter images that attract the eye of customers.

Transfer or direct

Two distinct printing methods represent the dye-sublimation process: transfer and direct. The transfer method process involves printing an image on a special media, typically a special dye-sublimation paper. This paper incorporates a receptive coating that holds the ink.

The direct sublimation method actually deposits the ink onto the media itself and then it’s fixed into the media using heat and pressure.

Made by approved vendors like BPGraphics, Eco Posters are composed of single pieces of polyethylene that have special pockets welded around their edges to attach them to a billboard. Compared to the old style 30 sheets paper billboards, their material weight is reduced from 40 pounds to only 5 pounds, and they are capable of resisting water. Eco Posters also boast improved print quality compared to both vinyl and paper.

They are completely recyclable and environmentally friendly. They are printed on a UV 16′ wide printer and then loaded onto a special finishing device that welds pockets on the back of the poster. The pockets are then slit in special locations for clips to be inserted in the field. The poster is then folded from the top down and shipped to posting companies nationwide.

The list is virtually endless, but Out-of-Home, Retail In-Store Graphics, Fleet, Environmental and Campaign Signage are the primary areas of products and services we provide.
